The building manager does a FABULOUS job making the community welcoming, sometimes hosting lobby parties to bring everyone together. I love living here and it's obvious to me that so many others to do!

Wonderful community and dog friendly building/neighborhood. In addition, there are a number of restaurants, cafes, and boutiques as well as Adams Morgan all walking distance from the apartment, which is a huge plus.

The Shawmut is a wonderful apartment, and the neighborhood is terrific. The apartment building is incredibly well maintained and the manager and super are extremely accessible and helpful. I am a very happy tenant here and recommend it!!

I have lived in the Shawmut for almost 10 years. Many people stay for a long time. Great location, reasonable rent, nice sized apartments, and pet-friendly.
